Prairie Fire Kota longbow (Brace height question?)
« on: August 02, 2009, 11:55:00 PM »
I hope you see this Tim (I couldn't find your name any where on here). My brother bought a Prairie Fire (62") from you at the Coon Rapids traditional shoot 2 years ago. What's the recommended brace height on this bow? Anyone else answer If you know as well.

Thanks In advance!!

If you edit your topic to what is the brace height you may get a little more feedback. I had 62" Prairie Fire a few years back and I recall the BH was around 7".

You could always email Tim, he would be happy to help. Stand up guy for sure!

I brace mine about 7.25".

I use 625 grain arrows out of my 48#@28" 62" bow.

I use a 9 strand FF string with loops padded to 21 strands.  With 5 strands of yarn at the 1/4 points.

The bow is now very quiet and has decent speed.

My fire is 7 3/8 - that is what Tim suggests - he answers emails and the phone - great guy!
