Florida hunting
« on: August 03, 2009, 07:38:00 PM »
Hey guys, just wanted to put this out there to see what kind of information could be drummed up. My wife and I have planned a Fl. Disney vac. for  November. and thought I would try to sneak in a day trip of sorts. was wondering what would be available in the Orlando, Disney area for hunting options. Thanks all in advance.... How coincidental. I'll be on Long Island in Oct hunting whitetail s.

Depending on when you arrive. The nearby public land that is easily accessible(no boat needed) is for quota permit holders only usually for the 1st 9 days. After that, I suggest Bull Creek WMA. It's a short drive from Disney and has good opportunities though local knowledge would help. Three Lakes WMA is also an option and in the same area. Go to myfwc.com for the regs and dates. Good luck

You could try Osceola Outfitters for a hog hunt(they have a web-site).

What dates are you looking at for your vacation?

I can get you specific info on the different WMA's which would be nearby. Plus check on some other opportunities such as hog hunts.

I also posses over 30 years knowledge of the areas Don mentioned above. Your talking muzzle loader and gun season in November, but you can still use your bow. And as long as it's not during a quota hunt, no problem getting on the WMA.
Providing the dates are right and you don't mind company, I'd be willing to hunt with you if you choose not to go with a guide service.

Send a PM if interested.    :archer:

go to bull creek. Pm me your email address and I will try and find my map. I will scan it and send it to you with directions all the way to the tree to sit behind. Lots of hogs and plenty of deer.
