Go for the barrel tapered ash. I shot them for years with excellent results. My supplier, Silent Pond Shafts went out of business, so I went back to aluminum or...I would still be shooting Ash. I have a dozen left...tough arrow.

www.arrowwoods.com  or 1-866-274-2281 they are great. I personally refuse to have any dealings with Raptor Archery.

I used to make custom  ash arrows and still have a bunch of shafts. Depending on the spine you need I may be able to help you out.

I personally refuse to deal with anyone but Raptor Archery.  I have Ash and Hickory shafts from Ted and could not be happier with the quality and price, and the customer service.
