Carbons for my SAIII
«

I looked in the for sale ads last week and what did I find, but a 1996 BW SAIII for a steal of a price and in perfect condition. I want to dive into carbons and know someone out there can help.
The bow pulls 60lbs. at my 27". I want to cut my arrows to 28 if I can get them to spine correctly. Broadhead weight anywhere from 125 to 200. Brass inserts. Any suggestions?

Since you want your arrows so short it would be best to get one shaft of each before buying a dozen and see what works best.I think 3 rivers has a test kit.Would be a lot better than buying arrows that would not work and you would have the test arrows for future bows. jmo

I was thinking I would have to go to a 45/60 or something similiar. Most guys shoot longer arrows even at my draw. I would like to keep them short if possible.

Carbon Express HE-350 with a 75 grain brass insert and a 160 gr point. I shoot that in a PAX 60#@28 and it is dead on.

Beman MFX classic 400 with the 100 grain brass insert. I use 125 grain tip with 29" arrow. You might have to go to 145 grain tip to shorten an inch. (I shot this out of a BW SAIII 57lbs@27").

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I need. I'm thinking Beman 400 with 100 gr. brass insert at 28" and 150gr. Razorcap.
