Dave, I sewed in a latigo bottom on this quiver but a rawhide cup in the bottom will hold up better with broadheads. The skin is fairly thin and this was a large Canadian coyote.
In the build along section of Primitive Archer website(page 3 I believe) "Jackcrafty"(Patrick Bland) did an excellent build along showing many good techniques for working with coyote hide. He built an authentic Plains quiver and as with the Native quivers, the hide is backwards(head at the rear and tail forward). I opted to make this quiver with the mouth of the quiver at the head so the fur laid towards the rear.
