Hey gang, I'm new to the bow and arrow, and I have a few questions about arrow selection. I have a 58" Red Wing Hunter, 45# @ 28". I draw right at 28" or so. I grabbed a few arrows (the only ones I could find right off) and I have a few questions about them.
What I have are carbon, 2 that are 4560 and 2 that are 5060. They came with nocks pre-installed and I added screw in field points that are 100 gr. They are 30" arrows.
When I shoot, sometimes they fly great, and sometimes they seem to move erratically (almost like they are going to end up going end over end, but still hit the target point first).
I know my form is poor, I shot my first ever arrow earlier this year, so I know that is the likely culprit. I just want to make sure that it's not the arrow compounding things.
As a second question, my other bow is a hickory self bow. It seems a shame to shoot carbon arrows out of it, but it's all I have for now. That bow is also 45 @ 28. Will they be ok in there too?
Thanks! Sorry for the long post.
