bows ?
« on: August 22, 2009, 05:59:00 PM »
OK, I need some imput on a few bows that i have been looking at. First of all let me tell you that im no stranger to hunting with compound bows & shot many of deer/pigs over the yrs. I plan on going traditional & been looking at bl.widow & morrisons bows. So if anyone has info on these bows ( good or bad ) please let me know. Thanks

Both top of the line bows without a doubt.  They are quite different from each other though (IMO).
Any chance to shoot each of them, or even some other bows as well so that you can feel for yourself what your preference is?

Lots of people here from Texas, maybe someone close by you could give you a hand to get started.  Where do you live?

Both companies make great bows. I have both, but my favorites are two Morrison Shawnee Dakota longbows. They are light, smooth, quiet, and also very quick.
(Now if I just had a Centaur Carbon Elite!!)
If you are like me you will never even want to try the wheels again!
Which ever you choose, enjoy the switch and welcome to the Gang.

I talked to bob morrison & he seemed to be a stand up guy & knows his bows. I talked to a few people & also said both of these bows are great bows but would prefere the morrison. I dont know anyone around here that shoots traditial just compounds, i just fell its time to make the switch for me. Although i have been using recurves for yrs. for bowfishing i know hunting is going to be a new challenge.Does anyone have the new carbon limbs on a morrison bow? Thanks
