light arrows

I enjoy 3D and like to have a flat arrow flight. Also prefer the large size, 23's, cause I can see them better. Been using Vapor 5000's with 125gr. tips and 5" feathers, for a total of around 400gr.
Am I looking at long term damage to my bow? Using a Dalaa with 55# limbs. They say to stay above 6.6 gr. per pound, which works out to 360gr. But at my 29 draw I'm probably at 57, 58#.
Just wondering if even though I'm ok by the book will I run into problems later on.
Hate to give up the straight flight but would hate it more to break the bow.

That depends on what kind of limbs you have. Some of the higher end ILF limbs (Winex, for example) will take it without any problems. Others won't.

i shoot 410grs out of one of my hoyt gamemasters(55# @ my draw) and have done so for awhile. i dont think you will have any trouble especially since yours riser is like mine, being metal, shouldn't see any effects. and most ilf limbs are made to shoot lighter arrows anyway.

btw- those 410gr. arrows i use zip right thru deer.

You are probably OK....but....the DAS bows that I have had a chance to shoot and from talking to many that shoot them using a heavier arrow  probably will not cost you much in the trajectory  dept. My wife shoots her DAS at 45# @ 26" and she shoots a 500 grain arrow with a lot of authority....getting pass thrus on deer and bear.

Jason is also correct. The better the limb the better they will perform and hold up to the light arrows. As I understand it the stock limbs on the Dalaas are an average, mid range, ILF limb. If you go by the guidelines that you received with the bow you should be fine. If you really want to put your mind at ease get a set of the Winex limbs.
