My ABowyer heads were shaving sharp out of the package-there was abundant oil and rubber protectors in place guarding the razor edge-good job! Touching up is great; but I'd rather BBQ for the family than start a bunch of BHs from scratch.

Skeptical or not, you can easily get an edge that will push shave hair and just slide on a rubber band.

I know I'll have to sharpen them anyway after I test shoot them a few times.  But I'll guarantee lots of folks take them from the package to the woods.

Better to take all the marketing hoo hah off the pack and say "YOU NEED TO SHARPEN THESE HEADS" instead.

A question then,
if a broadhead easily and effortlessly cuts the rubber band with little or no pressure, is it sharp enough to hunt with.

That would be sales suicide, most people don't want the extra work.  I enjoy it myself, when I'm done I know what's on the end of my arrow.  Also gives confidence to.

The abs ashby is as sharp as a straight razor out of the package. They have a video to prove it.
