I have never made a bow. No bow tools. Have workshop tools (no bandsaw) I thought it might be a good project for my son and I to work on this winter. I would like to make a laminated bow.  I have looked at several of the trad gang videos and its quite the process.  Can anyone reccomend which book they prefer to use as a guide and tools so that I can slowly purchase them. I am also open to alternative style recurve, carved just want it to be a bow i can hunt with 62" or less and 50-60#.  I currently have a martin moutaineer longbow 60# and a bear grizzly 47#@28.
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them."  The Duke

The Traditional Bowyers Bible Vol 2 i think deals with lam bows. They are all FULL of remarkable information. Definiately worth looking into.
Its all Gary Paulsen's fault, he got me dreaming about a bent stick and string.

Check out Jack Harrison's book "Traditional bowyer and other un-necessary fun".  Expensive but has ALL the info you may ever want.
