Carbon Gurus Heritage / Gold Tip
« on: August 28, 2009, 07:01:00 PM »
What would you recommend for a Silvertip 59 @ 28 non FF. Total arrow length would be 29 1/2 and would like to shoot a 125 grn head.

I do have a Heritage 150 shaft laying around, just have to locate . It has a 100 grn brass insert 125 grn head.

Thanks
Mike

My Daala is right about that poundage and I am shooting gold tip 55/75"s at 29 1/2 with a 100 gr insert and 150 gr woodsmans, 5 inch parabolic fletch and wraps. Purrrfect flight. Kills things too!!

Mike, The carbon express heritage are great shafts but I think you would be better off with the 250's. I have some extra 250 shafts and also some brass inserts. I'll private e-mail you my phone number if your interested. We don't live to far from each other. God bless, Scott.

Mike, I use the Heritage 250's with 100gr. insert,150gr. bh, and leave then 29-30" long. They fly great out of my 62" recurve and I draw right at 27". THis setup should match your bow pretty close as well......

I shoot a 30 1/2" 250 with 275 grn. up front from a Tomahawk SS at about 57-58 lbs. flies great. Arrow weighs 675 grn.

I also shoot a full length 55-75 GT from a Dryad Orion that's 57 lbs. at My draw with a standard insert and 200 gr. tip.

Good luck, season's getting closer!!!!
