adding more weight to 150 stingers
« on: September 01, 2009, 10:47:00 AM »
ive pretty much decided that im going to shoot 150grain 4 blade stingers. but heres my issue.
i shoot 300 grains up front. i shoot a 100 grain brass insert and need at least 200 in tip weight.
the 150 stingers will only be a total of 250.
how can i get 50 more grns up front?

Places like 3 Rivers sell various means to add point weight (brass washers etc...).  The 100gr. brass adapters are fairly long, you could try dripping some lead solder in the back cavity (keeping it out of the threads.)

Tap the back of the brass insert and get a set of PDP or gold tip weights...
