Heritage 150's and 220 phantom

I have a Firefly longbow that is cut to center and am pulling 49 @ just under 29". I would like to shoot the 220 phantoms and have ordered the 150 Heritage shafts. I tried the 45/60's predator shafts but they were too stiff even with 250 grains when left at the full length of 30+. I'll know when I try them but was wondering if this combo should work or if the 150's will be too weak with this point weight?

My guess is you should be in the ballpark for sure. I'd start with them long and cut back till they were perfect.

Like BigBuck said, start long and trim them till there right.

I shoot 150's 30.5" w/200g BH @#53, so yea they should tune in fine.

There is some difference between the 45/60 and 150s, but don't expect too much (less spine that is)

45/60's are .400 and the 150's are .487. Quite a bit of difference.

Oh my, we have nearly the same set-up,LOL! I'm using the 220 Phantoms (200 cause I took out the bleeders) and Heritage 150's, except I'm shooting a 51@27 St. Joe longbow and it is also cut to center. They fly awesome!!! My friend Dave is shooting 50@28 and using the same set-up too and getting great flight. I think you'll have excellent flight out of your bow.

The shafts were on the porch when I got home. They bareshaft slightly weak at 31 1/4" and a 220 head. Should be right on when fletched. Thanks!

thats a good set-up..  another nice head for that would be the BIG snuffer 160 w/ 42gr long adaptor glued in + the heritage insert--> even the stone walls will be ducking for cover  :)

Shawn,both my FireFlies 51@28, 52@28, like the 150's with a 50 grain brass insert and 220's Phantoms my draw is alittle over 29...

I also have a Firefly 48#@28" and shoot 150's cut 30.5 and shoot 200 grains up front. I used the bareshaft planning method and plan on fine tunning using the paper method next.
