Nock Glue
«

I have been building arrows for a while and I am having trouble with a certain set of nocks. I can't seem to get them glued on my ash shafts. I have tried duco and fletch tite and they just won't stay. I'm gonna try super glue in a minute but It's driving me nuts. I have never had this problem. Any ideas?

I think I have some 2 ton. I'll have to look and try if the super glue doesn't work. I also have barge cement I might try it too. Thanks

What kind of nocks are they?

What type of finish on the shafts? Some glues are not compatible with certain finishes....
I had that issue once, using poly and fletchtite. I sanded the nock taper to rough it up and expose a bit of the wood. End of problem.

I am using daly's profin. It's what wispering wind uses and they say to use duco. They are bohning index nocks. I used this crazy super glue my local archery shop sells and it worked. Have any of you ever had touble making spiral fletched flu flu's with duco, cause I tried and it just kept peeling right off even after sitting for a few minutes.

I agree that sanding the nocks should work for you. If you use Duco on the fletches they will need more cure time than a few minutes. I give mine a mininum of 15 min for a standard fletch and severl hours for a spiral fletch.
