Traditional Archery Sales - Lakeland, Florida???
« on: September 06, 2009, 10:06:00 AM »
Has anyone ever dealt with this trad shop.  His name is Len Busbee.  He seems great to deal with over the phone and per his website, he attends several shows throughout the country.  The problem is that I am very interested in a few of his used bows and he will NOT send me pictures of them via email or regular  post office mail.  I do not get it, if he would send me pictures, I would most likely buy the bow from him.  Please let me know if anyone has had any dealings with this trad shop.  Thanks, Matt

He came to our shoot in Coon Rapids 2 or 3 years ago.  Nice guy and his bows were in generally good shape.  I think his descriptions as to condition were pretty fair and he was very knowledgeable.  Having said that, if I was buying used from a dealer, I'd try a sponsor here or maybe the Footed Shaft in Rochester, MN.

I bought a Robertson Mystical several years ago from him.  The price was right and I found it fit his description.  I'd buy from him again.

All though I haven't bought a bow from him yet, My son and I have been to his shop and Len set us up with some arrows along with a couple hours
of good advice . My impression of this man is that he is a straight shooter, honest and fair.

I've delt with Mr. Busbee a couple of times, all good both times. He once, flat refused to sell me a K-Mag I was looking at because he thought it was flawed. Very honest man.

I have bought bows from and sold bows to  Mr Busbee for the last 15 years, never had a problem. They have been in business for many years. He and his wife are fine people and may not know how to send pics thru e mail??, I just bought a digital camera and figured it out last year myself...

He just refuses to send any pics through email or post office mail.  And he has a strict no return policy, not even within 48 hours.  What should have been an easy sale for him, is turning into a no sale at all.  I have heard that he is great to deal with.

Bought a RER recurve from him 2-3 years ago... no problem dealing with him at all!

I have hung out in Len's booth many times and my buddy has had several dealings with him. All positive! He is the real deal. There must be a good reason for his policy.
