The Midwest has some fine folks!
« on: September 06, 2009, 09:58:00 PM »
Had the opportunity to meet some really good people this weekend at the Nebraska Traditional Archery gathering in Fremont, Ne. this Labor Day Weekend. What a well run shoot, and the company was top notch! I have to say that I was really impressed with the vendors that I met there! I talked with Mrs. Dwyer from Dwyer Longbows, what a great lady! They have a new 58" R/D longbow that is fantastic, it's called the Endeavor, already put it on my must have list!

Wandered around a bit and was able to talk to Mike from The Nocking Point. His inventory that he carries with him is impressive! Pretty much anything you need is in his trailer. Nice guy to talk to as well.

I wandered on, and in the distance I could see another vendor tent beckoning me. I got to the tent and there before me were a few bows that really got my interest up! Bows by David Dowell and bows by John Holzrichter (Badger bows) got my attention real quick! These fellas know a thing or two about making a bow! Their bows looked and felt awesome! It was fun talking to them as well, as they are both ornery with each other! Fun guys for sure!

Bryce Lambley came walking in to the shoot Saturday afternoon with his daughters and I asked him if he had his book to sell. Sure enough he did. He walked all the way back to his truck and produced a copy for me. Thanks Bryce!

As for those that are responsible for making this shoot happen, thanks!
