We are having a terrible year for apples here where I live and hunt but the nut crop (what there is of it) does seem to be doing really well.  The crab apples are doing well and the yellow apples that seem to carry late in to the season are not to bad and as mentioned before the pares are doing great.  We have had a very wet summer and some off temps so we will have to see, Joe

That's funny....I was just up by the mountain Ken and I hunt on the start of squirrel season. Tons of acorns and beeches there too. Munched a few myself...heading up tommarrow...
