ehlburg recurve. wow its fast (pics added)

I met a fellow trad shooter sat night, and he is letting me use his 68@28 63" ehlburg recurve. I am amazed at the speed.  Even shooting my 700 grn hickories it is screaming fast.  I'll post some pics tomorrow but I was wondering if anybody else has ever owned or shot one.

They are nice fast bows. I almost bought one but I own a few Matlocks and they are very similar and just as fast.

I have a 64" elburg cheetah.  When it's unstrung it looks like a double ended ski.  It really screams an arrow.

Fireball31, I'd love to see pictures of that bow!

God bless,

I had the chance to sit and talk with Mr. Elburg (no H in his name) at Denton Hill in the 1990's.  At that time he was building bows and had his Grizzly Broadheads there as well.  His bows are sought-after nowadays and for good reason.

Thanks for the pictures. I am a fan of his bows. I own several of his longbows, but not a single recurve. That one is a beauty, pretty lines too. Enjoy!

God bless,

Jose
