Curtis that looks like great stress release.  Good to see you take some personal time.  Did you use the bamboo arrows.
Deer Slayer, that sure looks like the Victoria ranch, just greener...Mark

Yea, it's the Victoria place. Once Spring sprung it got really thick around there. The bad thing with hunting in the Spring is that the pigs quit rooting and start eating grass and other green stuff on top of the ground. It will look as if there are no pigs anywhere to be found. If you are patient though and you don't walk every square inch looking for them, they'll appear on their own in the evenings. The problem with walking-up a low fence property is that you will run off all the game on the first day and see nothing later. I've gone to a "no walk" policy on most of the ranches so the game doesn't get pushed out.
Seems that all "experienced" hunters want to take off walking and look under every leaf for pigs during the day and then wonder where all the pigs went in the evenings. Problem with jumping hogs off their beds is that they are just like jumping big bucks off their beds, they don't come back! Anyway, since I went to a "no-walk" policy everyone is seeing and shooting game. If guys want to walk-up a property I've started putting them on the high fence properties. This way they will see game most of the time even when they've pressured them off their beds. It's worked great and now both of the Victoria ranches are very populated with pigs even though they are actual "free range" piggies. Hope to see you again soon Deer Slayer. It was good to have you guys come and hunt! CK
