Gene and Barry in Glens Falls this weekend
« on: September 11, 2009, 08:17:00 AM »
I,m not actually sure what rock I've been sleeping under lately, but I did not find out about this until last night while talking to my good friend Dick Sage. Seems there is a full weekend "Whitetail Summit" being hosted at "The Dome" on Sherman Ave.

Haven't looked yet but full details are available at outdoormagazine.net or adirondacksportsmensshow.com .

I know from reading the post there are a lot of us in the neighborhood, maybe you've been sleeping under a rock to. Just thought I'd pass it along for those looking for something to do on a rainy Saturday weather forecast.

Two red lights north of the traffic circle on Rt. 9, take a left on Sherman Ave. After you pass over Rt. 87 it will be on your left.

I usally Google map directions to where I am going if needed.

Would be nice to meet them in person, but the admission prices are a bit steep.

$9 is steep?

Its 9$ for a day pass, went today a spent about 3 hours looking and talking . Talked to Gene and Barry for 1/2 hour, picked up one of their cd's. Talked to some outfitters about bear hunt in Maine and in N.B. Canada. All in all had a decent time. It was a rainy day and it was something different to do. Also talked to Jim Masset, a great Adirondack tracker a very nice man. The higher prices were for multipul days and the dinner.
