Looking for information on a school arrow swedgeing(sp?) tool to place points on wood arrows? Am aware that Richards Tool out of N.J. used to make one but can’t find information.  Any ideas on cost and availability would be appreciated

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but Loss Creek arrows makes a wood arrow crimp tool.  Check the website  www.losscreekarrows.com

I can't picture a tool for swedging wood arrows. If you tried to compress the shaft end like you would a hollow aluminum shaft it would crush it. Tapering tools remove the wood to form a taper and come in all prices from over $100 for a motorized version to an inexpensive pencil sharpener type for a few bucks. I use my belt sander with a 5deg and 11 deg taper jig for tapering wood arrows.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
