If the Snuffers fly well I'd hunt with your set up.If you don't have the confidence to do so use what you are cofident with.

If you say the snuffers are flying well then I say use them. I've been using them for a long time and love them. My bud only shoots 46# and has no issues with pass thrus. Awesome blood trails.

I'm about a 90 percent two blade man but I'd hunt with a snuffer anytime and have.

Two years ago a buddy shoved a 160 grain snuffer behind the shoulder of a 182lb buck, angled back that came out the side of the paunch and dropped out.

He was sick with the shot (he said the deer turned right when he shot) and the mess but it definately worked. The buck made it about 80 yards straight down the creek before piling up.

I think it was about his 10th Snufferized buck.

Oh yeah.........he was shooting, and always has, a 45lb Super K drawn 27 inches with a 525 grain total arrow weight.

He DOES take pains like most of us to have perfect arrow flight, which is important regardless of the head type.

I like other heads better but there is certainly nothing wrong with and probably not much big game that hasn't been Snufferized successfully.

Good luck!

It depends on what you are hunting. As an example, that combo is too light with that big head for elk or moose. Gary

My buddy has taken several good sized hogs with longbows between 46 and 50# and Snuffers.
We used the Snuffer tamer to sharpen them.
I say go for it.

I like the Snuffer SS out of my 46# recurve.  They have a lower profile and blade surface than the big Snuffers.
