Whats your opinion on these longbows? I would like to purchase a long bow in the 55# range and would like to keep it under $260. the only one that I'm familiar with ids the Bear.

October Mountain have not touched. Aim doesn't make bows - they distribute Samick/interNature and other Korean bows. As for the Korean longbows there aren't too many to choose from. Top-o-the-line is probably the Samick Verna. The Verna is a good looking/performing bow. I have played with one and it is worth a close look if you have access. The
interNature Viper
is a step down (well within your price range though).

Thank you for the info ehntr. the link to the info in the Viper was very good. I guess that i should have stated that the Oct Mtn. bow was the Hunter Delux and the AIM bow was the Internature Viper Deluxe.

Check this ad in the classifieds and Lynn is a straight shooter to deal with.

Vermonster13 that looks like a great deal but I'm looking for a little more draw weight. 50# would be my lowest. I may get a chance at an Elk some day.

No info on the October Mountain, but I have shot both the Internature Viper and the Bear Montana, and between those two I would take the Montana hands down. In fact, I think it's one of the most underrated bows out there. Inexpensive, but a great shooter.
Buy the Bear, you won't be sorry.

I have shot both & I'd spend my money on the Bear hands down. Frank
