Would like to know what your experiences are for ease of access without a lot of movement and maneuverability. Thanks in advance.

I use a Belt Quiver designed by one of the sponsors, but haven't seen any posts for awhile. Maybe no longer a sponsor?
I find it easier to carry and does not get in the way when going under trees and shrubs or walking thru high grass or shrubbery.
I can't even remember the name of it, but I own 2 of them and interchange detachable quivers depending on what bow I'm using and which arrows I need. I have 5 quivers full of arrows that I just snap into place when needed.

if you hunt in the brush ANY you will not like it.  if you are hunting in more open country it will be great.

I went to a hip quiver last year. Guys can talk all they want about how a quiver "stabilizes" their bow and makes them shoot better, but I don't buy that. I will do anything to keep the arrows off my bow and a hip quiver works very well - yes, even in brush. You just have to get used to it. My hip quiver is either on the hip as designed or strapped to the side of my pack for a long hike in. I can also swing it over my shoulder so that it rides along my side like a GFA quiver. A good quality hip quiver is really tough to beat for versatility, IMHO.

Successfully used my homemade hip quiver for nearly 20 years. Designed after the old Bear quiver with a belt loop attachment, it balanced solidly at an angle with the feathers pointing 50 degrees  backwards. Made it easy to slip through brush, etc. w/o attention. Easy to position on your back or side also. Firmly held 7 arrows for quick retrieval right at your fingertips. Gave it away to a teacher & newbe trad hunter.

I am shooting a longbow that is not wide enough to accept the bow quiver I have used on other longbows.
I detest back quivers because the arrows ( I shoot full length - 31 inch long shaft- arrows) were always hitting things ...like brush that my head was ducking under. And rattling.
I tried a catquiver; and do not like the idea that I could reach for an arrow and realize they all fell out.  Too: the problem of carrying different length arrows. Blunt tip arrows with the catquiver need a special adaptation; and again- I have no desire to need an arrow and not be able to reach back and get one without fuss.
Also- the catquiver - well I hunt in mountainous country; and I have to take the quiver off to sit; and if I fall....well there is a chance ( as I found out the hard way) of rolling and breaking arrows - leaving broadheads on their own to find a place to be.
So; I thought about side quivers.
I found a homemade side quiver- made from a compound bow type bow quiver. It has a belt loop; and a strap that goes just above the knee.
I had problems it in concern to noise; noise from the arrow shafts hitting my belt knife; and from hitting my backpack when I wore one.
I put a leather belt and buckle through the belt loop on the quiver; which allows me to easily remove it; without removing my belt; and allows me to adjust it so that it does not hit my knife or backpack.
Now I am very happy with the side quiver. It allows me to move very little and remove an arrow; and I can hang it by the belt when in a treestand. It comes off easy; and I can carry it in my hand if I want.
I have been through really thick brush with it; and I am happy with it there.
I also like not having a quiver full of arrow fletches showing up when I lift the bow to shoot.

So another vote for side quivers- although I did do some 'adjusting' to get here.
THE VOICES HAVEN'T BOTHERED ME SINCE I STARTED POKING THEM WITH A Q-TIP.

I have a hip quiver...a Thunderhorn.  Most versatile type quiver I have ever owned.

It acts as a sheath for my field knife.

I can hang it in a tree with the elastic cord, or off a bow hook. ( I added an eye bolt to the hood)

When moving through brush I simply move it from my side to my back.  It is behind me so no critters see it bouncing off my butt.

It is the ultimate in quite, holds any length arrow or head, and is always within reach.

My 'Quiver Caddy' has never been any trouble in thick brush, thickets, or anywhere else.

I can change the kwikee kwivwer and adjust how many arrows I carry on any given day.

Yes, I hunt with it, 3D with it and have fun stumpin',too; it does the job!

Thanks guys. Just the responses I was hoping for. Looking to get one as I have the same trouble lately with my arrows clanking and hitting tree limbs when wearing my back quiver. I have been using a bow quiver on my longbow but, not really liking that either.

I might suggest getting a heavy duty leather belt for your side quiver as opposed to using the belt on your pants.  This allows more mobilty of the quiver when you need it.

I've used them all.  Belt, Cat, bow, even the old Adams arrow holster.  I do still love and use my catquiver but my number one best most versatile quiver I have ever owned is a GFA. I stalked bears and antelope with this quiver plus it just "works" from crawling through brush to sitting a stand.

Try a "GFA" or any of this type of quiver.  I am pleased to have one.

I've been using my quiver caddy for more than two decades...and hands down it works best for me.  Even in the thickest brush.  I used an Asbell style quiver option of my own make in developing the quiver caddy, and liked it, except for one thing....another strap around my neck to add to the tangle already there.

People who say they prefer a bow quiver in the thick stuff over a hip quiver, really have never tried these good options.   The "old style" hip quivers that strap to your leg and hold your fletches up at an angle in a more rigid way can certainly cause you trouble, but the quiver caddy and the asbell style allow you the flexibility you need....and without the long "lever" attached to your arrows that your bow becomes in navigating thickets.  Think about that!

There is no easier on/off quiver option than a quiver caddy, and it works everywhere for me, better than the rest.

Try a regular hip quiver with a loose belt in it.  Rather than strapping it to your waist, wear the belt around your head and one shoulder (like a plains quiver or a GFA quiver, I suppose).  That way you can adjust it high or low, move it to the side or back or whatever floats your boat.

Works great.

Mark I agree with you on the tangle. Thats what Ive been fighting this season. I love the two GFA's I own, but combined with binos, elk call, bota bottle, the quiver just adds to pain.

Do you have the leather Kwikee option available yet?
