My new ACS
« on: September 29, 2009, 09:04:00 PM »
Well  just got it - 62", 45@28. I put a 28.5 inch 2018 (bare shafted) thru this thing and it is like a dart!

WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW

Honestly, I have seen prettier bows but this bow has great lines and an attractiveness all its own. I got the 14" riser and I am really satisfied!

Any suggestions or comments are always appreciated. I cannot wait to slip an arrow thru some ribs!

Wonderful bows, I should know I have had about 7 of them  :)

Personally I love the way it looks, but it's not traditionally good looking.

What riser did you go for, I currently have a 14" ST, 16" ST and a 16" RC. The 16" RC is my favourite and I'm pretty much shooting that all the time now.

Also had a 1pc, I had one of the very short ones and it didn't suite me, would be keen to try one of the longer ones.

I got mine new from John at the 2006 Compton rendezvous and it is the best shooting bow I have ever shot.  My wife said after the very first shot I made with it, that she knew I would want to buy it.  Luckily she gave her blessing and I was able to purchase it and I haven't looked at other bows the same since.  I just got a new set of ACS CX limbs from O.L. last December and had intented to hunt them this fall, but my original setup shoots so well for me, I hate to switch them out right now.  So they are just sitting on shelf, having only seen a few arrows through them to stretch in a string.
I may have to get one of the new one pieces one day, but other than that, with my A&H and my PLGA, I don't really have any interest in any new bows right now.
Good luck this season with you new bow!!

Chris (Lefty) convinced me to buy an ACS earlier this year....and man I'm glad I listened to him. I shot better this year at 3D shoots than ever! Can't wait to kill a deer or two with it.
