Speed Reduction With Increased Arrow Weight?
« on: April 04, 2007, 09:12:00 AM »
I shot my DAS Gen II with a 51# set of Border ILF limbs in the Archery Shop last Saturday.  Shooting a 412 gr arrow, a hair over 8 gr/pdf I was shooting at a speed of 190 fps at my draw length of 28".

If I increased the arrow weight to 451 gr, 9 gr/pdf, how much of a drop in arrow speed should I expect?  And how about if I increased to 510 gr, 10 gr/pdf?

Thanks!
