They are very comfortable and quiet.  i can only speak from experience with day hikes using them, but mine were worth the money!  They are not a "sit on a deer stand and keep your feet warm" kind of boot.  Hope this helps a little.

I love mine, but they squeak a tad bit.  Many times all they need are a creek crossing and are quiet as a church mouse after that.

If you cover a lot of country fast they are incredible, I would say next to my running shoes these things haul "you know what" better than anything else out there.  I have run after pigs, run to cut them, get ahead of deer, and of course hurried to get into position before others got my "spot" on public land.

I screwed up and got mine a tad too small, at the time they were ok but I have been a running fool since and my feet got a tad wider, and now they are too tight for all day down hill hunting.  But I still wear them for day hunts because they are dry as a bone and good for hurrying.
Give me a bow a topo and two weeks, and I guarantee I kill two weeks!

Have 'em... Love 'em...

I have the 400 gram thinsulate model and they are great up until late October here in Michigan. They are VERY comfortable and light weight. This is my 3rd or 4th season with them and they still look new minus a little dirt.

I will say this, if you are going to do a lot of hiking get the uninstulated version. I used mine in Wyoming a few weeks ago and after the first day of serious hiking in 60 degree weather... let me just say I had to leave them outside 'cause they smelled so bad, LOL!

I have them and second everything said so far. The only thing I can add is that they don't have the greatest traction for hiking in steep country, especially when it's wet. Otherwise, for early season and flat land hunting I love them.

I have a pair that I have worn for about two years. They are a great lightweight boot. Danners are great boots,I have had several different ones over the past twenty years. I have one pair that is still going strong after 12 years. They are a good investment.

Most comfortable boots i've ever owned, bought them for hunting and hiking, wear them all the time. I even use during cold weather hunting, with slip on boot blankets. Insulated boots sweat my feet, then after getting in the stand you can't stay warm with wet feet right?

Love the Jackals, have two pair and a pair of Pronghorns when it gets cold. (Cold is relative here in Florida).
Jackals are like wearing sneakers!  Soft and quiet!
