My boy is ready...
« on: October 06, 2009, 01:47:00 PM »
Well...almost.  My son loves anything "Daddy" does.  So naturally he comes with me to shoot my bows and holds my arrows when possible and safe.  He has started doing this now...he grabs the arrows and "aims" at the deer target and makes a shooting noise.  Man I LOVE being a Dad!!!!!!

Congrats!!!

I can't agree more....it IS great to be a Dad. Just wait until your son is shooting his own bow with you. Really nice!!!

Spend as much time as possible with him, they grow fast. Mason is going on 14 now and it seems like yesterday when he was shooting a little red fiberglass recurve. Now he is shooting his first osage bow he made. The best gift you can give your kids is not from a store.... it is the time you spend with them. You and him will always remember the time you spent together.

Being a father is truly a gift.  I have a 4yr old son.  Last week, we stalked a flock of turkeys and shot a 20 lb tom.  He was so excited.  It was honestly the most satisfying hunting moment that I ever had.  He was so proud, and I was even prouder.  Children love the outdoors.

Looks like he is picking his spot. How smooth is his release? Great pic!
