Face Painters you need to check this out !
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:38:00 PM »
I ran across this product at a shoot in Wisconsin this spring. Talk about easy to use and quick clean up. Worth checking out!  http://www.youtube.com/user/MrCarbomask#p/a

Until you sweat... or hunt in the rain... or lick your hands...  oh, nevermind about that last one.

I use it and like it a lot. Does not feel like bacon fat drying your face like some of the other products. It comes off easy - maybe too easy for some - but I like the fact that after a day in the field I can go to the drivethrough without scaring anyone. It doesn't get all over the interior of my either.

A wine bottle cork and a cigarette lighter does a perfect job and totally natural too.

Can't fix ugly, but works great.

And absorbs some scent.

The best feature besides the clean up is that it doesn't feel like it is there, and helps absorb the "funk" of hunting for days on end without a shower.

I used it the first time this August in CA on a 7 day hunt and it was well worth the effort and such.
Give me a bow a topo and two weeks, and I guarantee I kill two weeks!

Hmmmm, I just started working at Goodyear tire a month ago and my hands and face look that black at the end of some days.....

They've got stuff called "carbon black" that goes into tires to make them black.  Comes in different "grits" but it all seems about powdered sugar fine to me.  Maybe I'll just not shower after work and then go hunting.   :D

The difference with the stuff that we have is that it gets on everything you touch.
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Sorry bro, you would have to prove this one to me.  Carbon on your hands and face would do little to absorb scent as those places have the least amount of skin surface for glands to aid in cooling.  Also, if the guy is using water to remove it, what will happen when you sweat??  This must target tree hunters mostly?
