Memorial Quiver
« on: October 15, 2009, 12:17:00 AM »
A few months ago, a good friend passed away after his battle with brain cancer. Tom and his son Patrick have been members of the Primitive Archer community for a while. After his death a few of Tom's friends at the PA website put our heads and talents together and are making an archery set to present to Patrick as a memorial to his Dad. The set consists of a hunting weight osage selfbow, a dozen arrows(cane and hardwood) with stone and field points, a quiver, knife and sheath, bow sock, deer hide possibles bag and armguard. I put together the quiver with an Axis deer hide another member tanned for this project.
During two rained out work days this week I had time to cut it out and stitch it back together as this...

Beautiful tribute to a man and his family. Well done, and may the hunt continue.

Thanks Killie and guys. The inspiration was my pilot. Killie, you may have met Tom and Patrick at ATAR the year I met you, Bernie and Dano. We rode there together.
I'll post pics of the entire set when I receive all of the components and before I present it all to Patrick.
