Would I be crazy to put a Skinny string (8 strand, D97) on a 70lbs bow.

That may be alittle light.I have used 8 strand D97 for bows 55# and lighter.I use an 8 strand 450+ on my 65# Bamboo Viper and 21st Century Nova 70#.

Maybe I just had a bad batch but that D97 just kept creeping and creeping and creeping, 8 strands on 53# LB...PR

Your best bet would be 16 strans, you will be putting to much tention on string and if it snaps you will blow up the bow...16 strans will work fine.
I use 16 stran b50 on me 50 @ 55 lb. bows works great.

You might try 10 strands of Ultra Cam, it would be about the same diameter as 8 strands of D97 but iit is stronger than D97 and i have found it does not creep near as much as D97.
That bow will smoke with a 10 strand ultra cam string.

Never heard of Ultra Cam, that's a new one on me. I'm not sold on the skinny strings. I may go D97 three bundle.

LS64, if it was me, I would go with 12 strands, of 97. A good medium for that weight. Good shootin, Steve.

Ultra Cam is made by Brownell,a smaller diameter strand but very strong.A 12 strand D97 is strong enough for up to a 100# bow,I shot a 12 strand D97 on a 83# DQ Bamboo longhunter.

8strands of 8125 is good up to a 98#bow. 6strands is good up to 73#. D97 would work until it stretched too much. A 6strand 8125 would be pretty much perfect.

Ultra Cam is the replacement for S4 Thin. If im not mistaken it is about 25% stronger than D97.

I use 8 strands of 450+ on 83# with no creep and it's fast and quiet, 8 of D97 would scare me with all the creep.
