I saw a buck pestering a doe this morning, not really chasing. Spoke to a guy who says the are runnin' them down in Pttsburg co.

Not seeing any sign of it yet in my hunting area, haven't even found a scrape yet.

Dang ol deer prolly too busy swimmin to higher ground to start ruttin!!

I pulled myself away from the Rineharts and went to hunt some real animals tonite.  Seeing new rubs on trees around my spot, but no scrapes. Lots of movement after dark on the nicer nights, though.

Seen a few scrapes but nothing crazy. Not very many rubs either.

Didn't see a single deer this evening, not even walking out after dark.

I don't know but I hope so.  My wife is gonna be out hunting tomorrow afternoon near Ardmore.  Hopefully they'll be moving for her.

A good buddy shot a whopper 8 pt up here yesterday morning.  It was 20" inside with 11" back tines.  Its neck was swollen big and hocks were dark and smelly so I am saying they are getting started.

Found another scrape this morning but the old ones haven't been touched. Maybe because they are chasing does?

Been seeing a few small bucks lately but none are acting at all like their chasing or tracking anything.  Also starting to see more scrapes in the yearly places.  know of a couple bucks takin this weekend with smokepoles and the shooters told me they where not swollen or chasing when takin.

I saw a 3.5 year old buck chasing a doe on Sat evening and Sun evening even I saw a large buck chase a doe past me at 50 yards. Saw him again walking out after the hunt chasing a group of doe around a field. The does don't seem interested but the bucks are starting to follow them around here.

I've seen alot of younger bucks harassing does, but none of the bigs were as interested. My brother watched 2 bucks fight early Sat. morning. Sat. evening the smaller of the 2 showed up right at dark and he shot him(muzzleloader). He was a 160lb 12pt.

Just got back from McAlester yesterday and the bucks there were chasing does and were very vocal.  I was seeing races at 1:00 in the afternoon.
