SAMICK?
« on: October 31, 2009, 12:01:00 PM »
I'm looking a buying a 58" bow...times being what they are I'm looking at Samick.
Either the:
Stingray
Volcano
or SHB

I've read a few good things on the Samick Stingray. But I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the SHB or Volcano.
My concern with the Stingray is it's mass weight and hand shock.

What do you know?
Thanks guys.

That is a great qt. i am only 16 but have 2 samick recurves the samick leapord T/D antler screws like a schafer puff silencers 2 sim leech silencers and 2117 easton alluminum arrows with snuffers the quietest bow i have ever shot and there is no hand shock, or other bad things same with the volcano which is awesome same arrows original recurve kwikee kwiver 4 arrow cat whisker silencers with saunders brush buttons and kolpin compound velcro bow socks trebark camo with both bows have elevated rests know you set them up how you want to but these are so quiet and are affordable and are i think right up there with some custom bows the volcano is the way to go. but its your call and there is none of the draw backs you wrote down. they are not what you think cause of the price ant one who owns one will tell you the same they even out shoot some guys customs go with one anyone of those and you will be extremely pleased i took my firts traditional bow buck 10/5/09 an 8 pointer with my T/D and he didn't even hear the bow string release.

there's a guy on here - ND Terminator - who loves his Samick Volcano. He wrote a review on the Lancaster Archery site.

I have owned two over the years. The Hawkeye and the Verna.  Good shooting bows and easy to shoot. I would buy another Hawkeye if I could find one. You won't go wrong for the money.
