Be thankful for the action!  Many people sit a whole season and never get a shot.  Even though you are frustrated I'm gad your still having fun.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

I have a nice eight point I've been playing chess with for about three weeks. He comes in and stands about 30yds out. I just can't get him to step closer to the party. I come away with a smile every time though.

I've been on 5 different quota permit hunts this year and been on private property.
Haven't had anything legal within range of even considering a shot. Have seen plenty of deer, pigs and coyote. Just can't seem to have the right critter come close when it's legal to shoot.

Have been using a longbow on every hunt even though 2 of the quotas were muzzle loader hunts. Finally broke down and used a 50cal T/C New Englander this morning. And as luck would have it, nothing within range again! Finally took a crack at a coyote, 80+ yards and trotting! MISSED,
well had to unload anyway.
Now back to the Longbow!

Everything has been wrong this year, weather isn't cooperating worth a hoot and it seems to be a full moon every time I get out there.
Hopefully Nov. and Dec will be better.
Even the Sambar Deer hunt I've got Dec. 3rd-5th is cursed with a Full Moon on the 2nd!

Things just gotta get better!
