Snakewood3 I did round off and slightly taper the shafts where they join the broadhead. I didn't taper as much as some do. I didn't want to provide a weak spot in the transition from shaft to head. By shooting into a broadhead target I am really impressed in their penetration. The only time I think there could be a problem is if it hit a rib dead on and split the rib perfectly in two. Then you would want as little resistance as possible. This is very low odds of happening. All the deer I have killed with a bow I have hit rib and deflected off of them and went in between them for complete pass through or near to it. I have confidence that these arrows will do the same.
