Mooseman: It's good to know I'm not the only one confounded by these dumb birds, so congrats to you....and, yes, I hope there are many more to come. Now I'm pulling for Laura to do one in. She has had more luck getting shots at them from treestands than me...she is infinitely more patient than I am. Deer are  coming hard this year for some reason. Just can't seem to get one in front of me since I shot the button buck a few weeks ago and Laura has yet to see one while on stand. Love this bowhunting.....best chess game in town.

Didn't realize that I was not the only one jinxed by these so called "dumb" birds. I've been kinda feeling like a "wallflower" at a dance when I read all about how so many of you just seem to take it for granted that when turkey season comes it's just another form of target practice. Thanks for all the kind words and congrats to all you other guys who broke the ice. And for those still waiting for a dance....patience, perservance and strategy are all the major components...although I know some guys are just lucky.
