first traditional kill
« on: November 05, 2009, 06:59:00 PM »
well it has taken awhile but i finally took my first animal with a longbow.  i was deer hunting behind my inlaws house and right around dark i was walking out moping.  still after 3 years of hunting with nothing but a longbow i still have not taken a deer or even shot at one.  well i did get a shot at a nice big wabbit.  judo did good work and the heart was in about three peices. about 15 yard shot i was very happy to actually make a heart on a rabbit. it really boosted my confindence that i would be able to close the deal when or if a deer gets into range.  just felt like sharing

Good going! That huge heart-lung area on a deer will be hardly nothing after  making a good shot on that tiny rabbit. Get-er-done!

Gotta love that. Hitting a deer will be no problem.

Good shooting! Dragging those bunnies out is a lot easier than deer everytime.
