Just curious. Have seen alot of activity this past week with the deer. This is my first archery season and it is an amazing time to be in the woods now. Have another week to hunt and my question is can I expect it to be about the same or will it become more or less active this coming week in PA. I am excited to get back out there and would like to hear some input from the veteran archery hunters.

Crowbird,
Had a nice buck chasing a doe about 40 yds from me tonite.  Next week should be as good or better than this week was.  I sure wish I had next week off.  I did take vacation for Monday, so hopefully I can close the deal then. You're right about it being an amazing time to be in the woods.  If I could only hunt for 2 weeks a year, I would  the 1st 2 weeks of November.  I am up north though, but I think it is pretty much the same for the whole state.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong there.

Wish I could have been out today. I am chomping at the bit to get back in the woods. Tuesday had a nice big 4pt. pass me at 10yds. and never knew I was there. Wasnt legal here tho. Thurs. saw two sparring while a doe and I looked on. Fri. saw two nice 6pts. a couple of spikes and the 4pt again. My good friend saw the monster while we were out Fri. More deer than I am used to seeing. I hunt only from the ground so everything hasnt aligned for the right shot yet.
Hope next week is the time. I will be out late afternoon everyday it looks like.

I saw a dozen or so bucks last week and only two legal shooters, missed one and let the other one go. Haven't seen the crazy days yet in my area where they are running wild but they are on the does tails. I only have three days of hunting left so I hope to score the last week.

Finally started to see some scrapes on the State Game Lands I hunt which is encouraging, but the only deer I saw yesterday was a one-horned spike.  I've only got 1 or 2 days left where I'll be able to get out, so the odds are against me for 2009.

I hunted fours days last week. I've seen a lot of acivity including a nice 3 minute anter fight under one of my stands.
But it's just been a lot of little deer.
I'm hoping next week the bigger guys get moving.
