Iam shooting a 48lb recurve bow at 28inch of draw. My question is my draw length is 27 inches what weight arrow should I shoot for hunting? My broad heads are a 125gr any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like to keep my arrow weight between 9-11 grs. per pound of bow weight. You are roughly pulling around 45#,you might try a 1916 with 125 gr. head will put you around 470 gr. arrow.Or for carbons like a GT 35/55 and use a heavier brass insert with the 125 gr. head and tune from there. That would be in the mid 400 gr. range.

I would try and get my arrow up over 500 grains if it were me. Go with a brass insert and the 125 or a 145 grain head in a 600 carbon shaft.
