bucks vs does
« on: November 10, 2009, 01:22:00 PM »
I was thinking about the deer i have shot over the years and it seems from my experience that when shot bucks run as far as possible and does run a short distance <100yrds and lay down. Anybody else notice this or Is this just my particular deer?  :archer:

I find it has a little to do with age of the deer and a lot to do with if they were spooked or never knew what hit them.

If i make a well placed shot i cant tell any difference in the distance the deer travels. Usually when i hit one in the boiler room i either see the deer fall or at least hear them fall.
