Been discussed a million times try finding a shaft producer to make custom ones or get them footed to the length you need or try reparrows. Just figured I would get them all at once I hope that helps I you need anymore info just give me a shout.

Whispering Wind and Raptor Archery both make footed shafts and the Reparrow seems to work well for adding length, too.  Try doing some searches and you should find many related threads.  Good Luck

I've tried but never found any.  I now do a single point footed splice to add length.  You can do it with just a disc sander on a table saw, some string and Elmers  Titebond 3 glue.  Works real well.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

that option, at best, is a "maybe".  He flat out told me he had no interest in working with me when I talked with him, but then again,  I needed 105-115# spine and 34" shafts.

I have 70-75's and 75-80's in 33" length, if that will help. Barrel tapered poplar.

we make shafting here at our shop. We mostly use texas basswood - which tends to be a cross between POC and spruce in weight and impact resistance. Can also jig up douglas fir ect. We offer 11/32 and 5/16", spining at 90 should not be hard in the douglas fir, however the basswood would tend to take a bit longer as i normally get upto 75 to 85# max....

When i cut them usually we make them 32" BUT it is nothing to run them 2" longer for the same price. We sell them a lot to faire archery vendors and such - no cmplaints with 1000's out there.

30.00 a dozen

Basswood should be good. Smooth, even grain, good for carving, too. Makes great duck decoys.

Thanks, Bob!

got it butch  :)

Naaa not everything - we got small 350lb hogs too!!!!

My wife does fletched arrows and does the cresting etc. We will be doing more soon, as i just finished up a run of 11/32 shafting (about 500 of them)

Baswood is great stuff - i've taken it hog hunting, deer hunting and sell target arrows to a lot of vendors - never have had issues with it and best of all - CHEAPER then POC yet flys the exact same IMO.....

The good folks at Rudderbows have 36" Poplar shafting at a very good price.  Dennis at Hickory Creek Arrows used to make 36" shafting also but I believe he closed up.

We get a lot of requests for shafting longer than the 32" we carry so I'm glad to see Dave at Siegeworks can help guys out too.
