Reflex Deflex Glue Up- Primitive Archer?

I heard there was an article in, I believe, Primitive Archer about making a reflex deflex bow out of hickory and bamboo.

It had to do something with cutting the bow out on a bandsaw first. Basically the tiller was already done before you glue the bamboo.

Can anyone tell me more about this?
