One question to those who discount for work hours: How do you keep track?  Is there a person who records it?  Do you have cards to punch?  How is it done?
box of "time cards" in the clubhouse.  Honor system to record what you did.

A club officer has to sign off on the work hours at one club.  The other is much smaller and they use the honor system.  Everyone knows the workers.

Our club has 40 acres of woods with a 40x120 cedar log clubhouse with a 20 yard indoor range, and two 28 target outdoor ranges, our membership runs $100 per year (an additional $25 the first year) with 25 work hours required every year. Outdoor shooting is free except during scheduled shoots. Indoor practice fee is $6.00, and you can shoot all day if you wish.

20 $ a year to use the grounds, real small ground but its close to home. I take care of the bow range with Ames burlap targets.Work parties 2 or 3 times a years.

Our club provides unlimited access for 35 dollars per year per family. We have 32 targets set up on rugged 150 acres with abundant wildlife and all the Poison Oak you would want.
Work party Saturdays, our monthly shoots are 15 bucks and Tuesday nights are 6 dollars. Wonderful place!

We have over 700 members at our club, and it seems to be going more toward guns than archery. Our dues are $150.00/year + 8 hours of work, or payment of $15.00 per hour not worked. There are a group of us retirees [mostly archers] that meet on Wednesday mornings and do a lot of work around the club. Lately we have been directing our efforts more toward the archery and less toward the other venues because it has gotten to the point where they feel the Wednesday crew can do it. The more we did, the less the other committees did.

I would like to see those people that donate so many hours [even if we enjoy doing it] get a little break on their dues because they are doing the work and saving the club $$$$.

$250 a year for a non-working membership.

$100 year for working membership - 6 work hours requried for this membership.

Those prices apply to individual or family memberships equally.  I fugre the costs are cheap.  We have an indoor range ( heated ), outdoor target butts to 100 80 yards, and a 3D course that is open year round.  The club puts on 10 - 3D shoots a year as well.  Great club, lots of members put in way more than 6 hours of work and a fabulous facility.

It's like a business,pres.,asst.pres,treasurer,trustees,and even a foreman(building maintenance officer)for work weekends he tells the treasure who shows up and who doesn't.

Larry, Muskegon Bowman, in a nutshell is $50.00 w/o working single or $30.00 single with working.

family is $75.00 or $45.00

Hours per year required is  10 hours for single membership or 15 hrs for family.

Google Muskegon Bowman and it gives you the complete set up for dues.

Hi Larry,
My club's dues are about $200 per year if you do no work; about $65 with 50 hours work.  Though this may seem high to some of you, you need to know that we have first rate indoor archery and pistol ranges, outdoor archery ranges, outdoor rifle and shotgun ranges, 1/4 midget racing and sports car racing, a muzzle loading range, a camp ground and boat lauch on two lakes.

Dave, I think I've seen the card you use to track hours.  Tomas, is your hours worked an honor system or does somebody keep track?

Our club is looking at some sort of discount for hours worked, but nobody wants to be responsible for keeping track.
