Used to shoot a very mild R/D 64" longbow but it stacked a bit short of my 32" draw and led me to bad habits.

I now shoot a 66" heavily R/D longbow that pulls butter smooth beyond my draw length and it's made all the difference.
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

My "Other" vote is for the American D-shaped longbow (Hill-style); I like mine at 70".

Mild reflex/deflex D style. "Traditional" not recurve grip. 64" or better, y'know, a LONGbow! I like hybrids, I just don't think they should be called longbows; especially the ones that look even more like recurves. They are what they are-hybrids! My favorite quote on the matter and one I wish I could take credit for is: "Hybrids are for people who want to say they shoot a longbow without having to actually shoot a longbow!" Probably not entirely true for some but funny!    :D

I think my 56" Kanati is the perfect longbow.  Would love to try a 54" about 55#28".  But the fit of my 56" bow is great.
I messed up my wrist so I have to hunt with my recurve right now.  Have to have my wrist locked to pull my bow.  I keep trying the Kanati as I get better.  I am up to 3 draws before the wrist folds.  I did punch a tag with the Kanati in early season so she is not feeling that left out.
How about a Kanati recurve?  Maybe a take-down Kanati?
I think the Charcoal riser w/ amber-bo limbs and the red and black overlays is very classy!

A 62" Kanati would work for me!

I have yet to find a longbow that shoots as good as my ACS. But believe it or not i may sell it because im really into the recurves. I can shoot all my recurves really well.

Count me in with the short guys.

With a height of only 5'6" and a 26" draw length I find that I like my longbow to be comparatively short.  My current longbow, a beautiful bamboo-backed yew R/D longbow by Mark Smeltzer is 60" ntn and it suits me just fine.
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

My favorite longbows are 64" with a slight R/D and a straight-limbed Hill style bow.  Honestly, I shoot the R/D bow better.

I like one that is short on price and I can kill with it.

I already build those lpcjon2   :D

Thanks for all your input guys and gals, I have been designing a 62" prototype for a while now, it's the same build as my current Kanati, just longer so I was kind of hoping it would take the lead. I sure wish I had the time, money and space to do them all!

I have really favored a 3pc R/D with a grip like a recurve for most of this year.  I am shooting it better than anything right now.
