Wild Fire Artistry...Thanks for the encouragement....
« on: November 21, 2009, 10:03:00 PM »
Hey guys!  A few short months ago I posted a feeler on here asking if anyone would be interested in paying to have me carve/burn plaques for them.  The response kinda blew me away!  Within a week I had a new hobby business, became an associate sponsor on here, and took several orders from Tradgang members.

Well several orders later I attended my first woodcarving show and entered my first competition.  Again I am blown away from the response to my work!  The picture speaks for itself, I think!

I won 1st place in 3 categories and also 2nd place in one of those categories.  I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the encouragement and orders I have received from a bunch of Tradgangers!  Thanks!

Thanks, guys!  I just wanted to say Thank you to ya'll because I might not have kept doing this stuff if it wasn't for the all the positive comments and orders from my fellow traditional bowhunters!

I was blown away a few months ago to the response when I posted a pic of the one I did for Ylee.  Started my little hobby business and was still amazed by the interest!  All that gave me the confidence to see how I compared with other artists at a big competition like this one.

Yesterday, when the blue ribbons started rolling in, I still couldn't believe it! Then all these folks at the show kept asking how I do the plaques.  Some thought I transferred the pics somehow, with a laser or something.  I guess I just figured that anyone who picked up a woodburning pen could do this stuff.

Again, thanks to all of you and a big thank you to the man upstairs for leading me to find whatever talent he has given me and that I haven't been using 40 of the past 42 years!

Dude,

Not only did God give you a grand heart to be the hubby, Dad and man after "His own heart", but then you go find He gave you such talent.

Were it in the cards...one would be hanging on my wall.

That is some outright beautiful stuff. Only thing I can draw on is my checking account! Can't do that too much yet, either.

I love that artwork and find it totally fascinating!

Keep letting that talent shine!

Doc,

Thank you, sir!

Don't know if I could get that mustache of yours right anyway!  LOL!  You never know what's in the cards, though!  Send me a few pics.

Carving is a very creative outlet for the soul. Never ask why or how just do what you do. I couldn't see what you had carved, all I get is a box with a red X. Do you have a link to your work?

Hey Dale, it sure would be nice to see some of your antler carvings on here! I know that they are also first class!
