Jubilation!!! I sharpened a Grizzly
« on: April 09, 2007, 02:35:00 PM »
For the few years I have been shooting Trad I have had to get broadheads outta the box sharp. When I would go out hunting never take more than one out of the quiver for fear of making it dull.Complained to my Trad shop (actually was hoping he would just say let me do it for you). Someone on this sight challenged me (my words) saying it is part of the journey you need to learn how. On the TG search I pulled down C.lacey's demonstration and of course the first 2 attempts I sucked again.I read the method again and observed that she had the file sitting on a 2'x2" piece of lumber.Did not drag my knuckes across the workbench anymore and it did take 90 strokes for me with the file. There was nobody in the garage but me and there were HIGH FIVE's going round when I cut that rubber band. Thanks!!
