Easton Full Metal Jacket

Was looking for some opinions on the full metal jacket. I was thinking about trying them in the 400. They are real close in spine and weight to the Carbon Express 45/60 Terminator XP's I shoot right now. I'm thinking the durability has got to be better than the all carbon shaft I'm shooting now. Had one of my carbon arrows break clean in a buck I shot this year and hoping this wouldn't happen with the FMJ.

Easton FMJ are great arrows, very tough. They probably won't break in half but they can get dented.I have a set of 400 FMJ arrows that have held up great, and I like the slickness of the aluminum jacket. You might look at Easton's ST Axis Nano's too, another very tough arrow.

Great arrow, but they dont have the flexability of carbon. They will bend. I love mine. They havent been shot this year tho. I bought them for the compound last year and they are cut too short for my trad gear

Easton says Axis is tougher shaft of the two. I don't believe you can expect any shaft to consistantly survive once shot into game.

I've been hunting with the ACC Pro hunters they have the aluminum shaft inside. so far they have given very good performance, Killed on bear with them and I am still shooting that arrow.

Thanks for the replies fellas.Shot the ACC's out of the compound about ten years ago, but would like a little more arrow weight for my set up.Black Widow SAII 58# @ 27". I also figured they would bend, but I'm hoping they won't break off in an animal.

After using ACC for years I recently swapped to FMJ... Great shafts, and the easton brass break off 75/50 grain inserts give a the chance for some good weight up front, and the 3Rivers 100grain inserts for axis shafts fit as well.
Really great arrow shafts.

They are awesome shafts. Just realize they they can and will bend. I have bent 2 this year shooting deer.
I was able to straighten both of them to near perfection though.

thanks again guts for the posts.Steve, for my set up being a Widow SA 58# @ 27" (my draw length) do you think I should be looking at the 400's or the 340's? I'd like to shoot the woodsman elites at 200 grains up front.
