I have been looking at the GhilLeaf suit by Cabelas.I want a good Fall color for ground blind hunting. Not interested in the ghillie, for bow hunting. Any thoughts on brand and color would be appreciated.

I have had the 3D ASAT suit for about 14 years.  I love it.  I don't know if they are still available.  If you can find one, I highly recomend it.  Dead quite, very durable, and well it's ASAT.  I have had monster bucks look right through me while I was standing in the wide open at 30 yards.
really Honey, I make my own to save us money......

Rod,

I recently saw one of those types of suits on sale at Cabelas right now.  I don't think it was the Ghilleaf though, I thought is was more like an original ghillie.  They had it in Mossy Oak Brush and it looked like you would dissapear in grass and marshy areas.  Might want to check it out.

I just purchased the Cabelas TCS jacket, pants and 3/4 mask in the Brush camo that is on sale.  I killed a doe at 15 yards 2 days after I got it.  It is fantastic for marsh grass and dry corn.  FYI, don't bother ordering the TCS boonie hat unless you have a very small head.  I already sent that back.

asat all the way, planned an impulsive hunt yesterday with a friend, we both wear the asat, 3d suit, i pushed two does his way and they ran within 2 yards right past him and didn't see him. he couldn't shoot because the does was too close.\\Tommy

Just bought a ghille for around $85 bucks shipped. I've heard good things from people using them can't wait to try one out.

Rod, there are quite a few suits out there with varying colors/patterns.  I suggest finding a color that will best match the terrain you hunt as well as time of year.
