Sorry about the delay. As promised, here are a few photos...
My daughter, Rachel with our beagle, Emmett, and Ben and Chuck with their beagle, Cricket.
Emmett with a nose full of something that he and Cricket were trying to dig out. A couple minutes later, both dogs had found a tunnel into the source of the smell, which we discovered was a pair of raccoons cornered in their den. The dogs were nose to nose with the coons when I scrambled to pull them out of the den.
Both dogs made it out unscathed, and the raccoons treed.
Shot angles were steep and tight. Being a nonresident without a furbearer license, I was content to watch events unfold behind my camera lens instead of my bow.

When it was all said and done, both raccoons were brought to bag. Fortunately, neither raccoon attacked the dogs. A friend of mine's black lab needed several stitches after a similar encounter with a raccoon last year, so I'm still a little perplexed as to how these beagles avoided disaster.
