Are Lone Wolf bows by John Maus set up for fast flight?
« on: December 07, 2009, 04:49:00 PM »
I recently acquired a Lone Wolf Autumn Storm longbow(finally  :) )I went to the website but could find no info on what string to use or brace height. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Limbow,  I keep mine around 71/4 to 71/2" and I have both B-50 and a Ts -plus string...I make my own and padd my loops with a little B-50 mixed in the loops...To answer your question I do believe all of John's bows are set up for Fast Flight...P.M me if you want to know more...I have a 62" Autumn Storm all Osage with a Crown Jewel inlay through the riser and 50#@28"...One of my favorite bows that I traded for from TwoTimer "Robert Painter" a few years back...Great Bow and Very good glue lines and workmanship...Call John himself and he will really give you a lesson on everything you need to know about his bows...God Bless, Keefer's <")))><

Thanks Keith. I emailed John and he quickly responded. He informed me that since 91' all his bows are okay for fast flight. My autumn storm is 62" and 52#@28". It has a jeweled footed riser with overlays both front and back. Had to let a good bow go to get this one but I can hardly wait for it to get here. I can only assume since I have rarely if ever seen a 62" autumn storm for sale that there is something very special about Lone Wolf bows by John Maus!

If for some reason you don't like, you will not have a problem getting it sold.  I had one several years ago and foolishly sold it.   :banghead:  Great bows.

Outstanding bow. John Maus does excellent work. You should be pleased. If not, contact me. I would consider taking it off your hands.
